The Research Center of Biopolitics (RECEBI) of Panteion University participates in the European project entitled: "Supporting the rights and access of people with intellectual disabilities to secondary and tertiary healthcare services", subtitled "EqualTreatment".
The project will create digital training materials for medical, paramedical and nursing staff to successfully address the specific needs of patients with intellectual disabilities. The aim is to ensure that patients with intellectual disabilities have equal access to quality secondary and tertiary care services. More specifically, on April 12 and 13, we held the kick-off meeting of the new programme.
The meeting was attended by partners from the 7 partners of the Equal Treatment consortium, with whom we reviewed the basic principles of the programme implementation and proceeded to plan the collection and analysis of the needs of Equal Treatment stakeholders, health workers, people with intellectual disabilities and their professional supporters.
